Attendance & timesheets
Work sessions
An employee clocks in from the Attendance page, which opens an attendance session — a start time, an end time, a running total, and a status (WORKING, on break, ended). Breaks are tracked separately against the session, and internal work time is accumulated apart from the raw elapsed total so paid working time and wall-clock time are both known.
| Employee action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Clock in | Opens a session |
| Start / end break | Pauses / resumes the working clock |
| Clock out | Closes the session, finalizes totals |
Correction requests
If a punch is wrong or missing, an employee raises a correction request with the proposed time and a reason. An HR user with HR_ATTENDANCE_MANAGE approves or rejects it; an approved request rewrites the session. Nothing about a past session changes without that trail.
Admin attendance
Under Admin → Attendance, an HR user can:
- View any employee's sessions and daily records (
HR_ATTENDANCE_VIEW_ALL). - Make manual entries and force-punch for someone who couldn't clock in (
HR_ATTENDANCE_MANAGE). - Approve or reject correction requests.
- Run admin-user list management, bulk actions, and weekly / analytics reports (
HR_ATTENDANCE_ADMIN).
Summaries
Sessions roll up into attendance summaries — per day, per week, and aggregate analytics — so payroll and performance both read from a settled record rather than recomputing raw punches.
Timesheets
Time booked against work is recorded as timesheet data, feeding the summaries and the performance view.
