Web App Testing
Interact with and test local web applications using Playwright. The agent starts your app, drives a real browser, and reports what it sees: screenshots, page structure, and browser console logs.
hrida-agent-sdk plugin install webapp-testing@hridaai-agent-skillsCall it directly with /webapp-testing:webapp-testing, or ask the agent to test, check, or debug your app.
What it can do
- Verify frontend functionality: click through flows, fill forms, and confirm the expected result appears.
- Debug UI behavior: inspect the rendered DOM to find why an element is missing, hidden, or misplaced.
- Capture screenshots of pages and states for review or bug reports.
- Read browser logs to surface JavaScript errors and failed network requests.
- Manage your dev server: the bundled
with_server.pyhelper starts one or more servers (for example a backend and a frontend), waits until they are ready, runs the test, and shuts them down.
The agent follows a reconnaissance, then action pattern: it first inspects the page to find reliable selectors, then performs the interactions, which keeps tests stable.
Use cases
- Feature check before review: confirm a new sign-up or checkout flow works end to end.
- Bug reproduction: reproduce a reported UI bug, capture a screenshot, and collect the console error.
- Regression sweep: visit key pages after a change and flag anything broken or visually off.
- Responsive check: screenshot pages at phone, tablet, and desktop sizes.
- Smoke test: after starting the app locally, confirm the home page loads with no console errors.
Example prompts
Start the app with npm run dev and check that the login form shows an error for a wrong password.
Take screenshots of the dashboard at 390px, 768px, and 1440px wide.
The Save button does nothing on /settings. Find out why and show me the console errors.
Start the API on port 3001 and the frontend on 5173, then test creating a new ticket end to end.Requirements
- Python with the
playwrightpackage:pip install playwright - A Playwright browser:
playwright install chromium - Your app must be runnable locally; tell the agent the start command and port if they are not obvious.
