Contacts, companies & deals
Three record types. The agent can be opened on any of them, and every read hands back the ids of the neighboring records — a contact knows its company id and the deals it's on; a company knows every contact with their id; a deal knows the people on it. A result that names a record without its id is treated as a bug, because the only recovery is to ask the human.
Every record has four tabs
| Tab | What's on it |
|---|---|
| Overview | The fields — for a contact, role / tenure / seniority / function / location, each with a provenance marker. Click a field to edit it directly. |
| Contacts | (companies and deals) Everyone on the account or the deal, with role and last activity. |
| Activity | A timeline and a composer — notes, calls, emails, meetings, tasks. See Dashboard & activity. |
| Agent | A conversation with the research agent, scoped to this record. See Agent conversations. |
Contacts
Add by hand
Quick-add from the Contacts list. Most fields are optional; an email address is what lets the agent do anything with the record. Inside a company's record, a new contact is linked to it automatically.
In practice most contacts are never added by hand — the Gmail / Calendar sync creates them from whoever you correspond with.
Read what the agent found
The Overview tab shows each established field with a small provenance marker — hover it to see why the agent believes it and when it was observed. Nothing shown is inferred from a name.
Re-enrich
Re-enrich re-queues research on that person at high priority. The page updates itself when it finishes — no reload.
Edit a field yourself
A value you type by hand is a fact the agent will never silently overwrite. Human input always outranks its own research.
Delete
⋯ → Delete contact, then confirm. The record is gone from every list immediately, and the email address is remembered as "don't re-add automatically" — so the next message from that person doesn't quietly recreate them. Typing the address back in yourself lifts the block. Their colleagues are untouched.
Companies
Add
Name and domain matter most — a domain lets the agent fill in the real name, industry and socials, and lets the domain's favicon appear instead of a grey square.
Research vs. Re-enrich
- Research adds a written brief to the company's timeline — a summary of the account, not just a data refresh. Requires a domain.
- Re-enrich re-fetches just the real name, industry and brand facts, without a new brief.
Primary contact
From the company's Contacts tab, Make primary picks the one name the rest of the app shows wherever a company has room for only one.
Delete
⋯ → Delete company, confirm. Its contacts and deals are not deleted — they survive with no company attached — and its domain is not suppressed, so a new thread from that company files normally and recreates it.
Deals
Create
From the Deals list or from inside a company (which pre-fills the account). Name, amount, close date.
Stages
Drag on the board or set the stage on the deal's Overview tab:
| Stage | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Demo booked | First real step |
| Qualified to buy | Confirmed budget / need |
| Decision maker in | The person who can say yes is engaged |
| Contract sent | Paperwork is out |
| Closed won | Done, won |
| Closed lost | Done, lost |
| Unqualified | Disqualified before it got moving |
Every stage change is timestamped and kept. The Overview shows the full stage clock — how long the deal sat in each stage, not just where it is now.
Delete
⋯ → Delete deal, confirm. Its activities go with it; the people and company on it are untouched.
Finding records
- Quick search — ⌘K / Ctrl K searches contacts, companies and deals at once, on exact and prefix matches only. "Northwind" finds "Northwind Savings Group"; a misspelling won't silently land you on the wrong person.
- Filter, sort and share a view — every list keeps its filters, sort and page in the URL. There's no separate "saved views" feature — set the list up and copy the address bar.
