Artifacts
Generate Documentation, Research, Sheets, and PPT Slides from a prompt — or start from a template and edit it.
Artifacts is a standalone workspace for creating and editing standalone content — not something rendered inline in a chat message. Describe what you want in a prompt, pick a model, and Hrida.ai generates a first draft you can keep editing; or skip the prompt entirely and start from a blank or pre-filled template.
This is different from the in-chat Artifacts feature (HTML/SVG/JS content rendered inside a conversation, Claude.ai-style). This Artifacts workspace is a separate, persisted page — each artifact is its own saved record with its own editor, independent of any chat.
The four formats
| Format | What it's for | Templates |
|---|---|---|
| 📊 PPT Slides | Presentation decks | Pitch Deck, Project Update, Training Deck, Blank Deck |
| 📄 Documentation | Guides, references, internal docs | SOP, Onboarding Guide, API Reference, Blank Document |
| 🔬 Research | Research reports with findings and sources | Market Research, Literature Review, Blank Research Doc |
| 📈 Sheets | Spreadsheets and trackers | Budget Tracker, Project Plan, Inventory List, Blank Sheet |
Each format has its own editor: a rich-text editor for Documentation/Research, a grid editor for Sheets, and a slide-by-slide editor for PPT Slides.
Creating an artifact
From the Artifacts page:
- Pick a format from the tabs at the top (PPT Slides, Documentation, Research, or Sheets).
- Either:
- Type a prompt describing what you want, pick a model, and click Generate — the model produces a complete first draft in that format; or
- Click one of the format's templates below the prompt box (including a Blank option) to start immediately with no LLM call.
- You're taken straight to the artifact's editor.
Generation only returns the content — nothing is saved until it succeeds, at which point Hrida.ai creates the artifact record automatically and opens it.
Editing and autosave
Changes in the editor are autosaved — edits are debounced and saved shortly after you stop typing, so there's no explicit "Save" step. The artifact's title tracks whatever title is set inside the content itself (e.g., the document's own title field).
Managing your artifacts
The Artifacts page lists everything you've created, showing the format, template (if started from one), and last-updated date. Click any row to reopen its editor; hover a row for a Delete action.
Each artifact is private to its creator — there is no sharing or access-grant model for artifacts (unlike Notes, Knowledge, or Calendars).
Access Control
Artifacts is permission-gated, the same shape as Agent Builder, API Builder, and Calendar:
- Admins: always have access.
- Users: require the Features > Artifacts permission (enabled by default).
- Also requires the feature to be enabled instance-wide (Admin Panel → Settings → General → Artifacts, enabled by default).
To grant or restrict user access:
- Open Admin Panel > Users > Groups.
- Edit Default permissions or a specific group.
- Toggle Features > Artifacts.
